We are a community-based organization focused on enlisting all sectors of our community in helping youth achieve social and economic self-sufficiency, and fulfill their potential as viable contributing members of the community.
We're aiming to provide free-time activities for youth outside of school, organized sports and other school-sponsored extracurricular activities, and to interact with community leaders and businesses to promote local employment opportunities to develop a future workforce and to increase retention of Crookston youth.
Are you passionate about what we're doing? Let us know! Whether you'd like to help through monetary donations or volunteering your time or services to make a youth center a reality, we're always looking for others to help us make our vision a reality. We'd love for you to be involved and we'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you.
We are a grassroots group of citizens and community leaders who are working to develop a package of services, programs, and activities for youth in our community.
We envision a community in which youth and young adults successfully navigate their living, as well as their personal and professional relationships, and they excel in the workplace and engage in the community.
The CYF is a charitable organization and all programming and other developments are being built with no expectation of city or government funding.
We have already secured donors that have pledged a significant amount of funds for the Youth Center project. We will continue to seek additional matching funds from the community.
A board of youth will work alongside our managing board to provide significant input into programming and facilities and help shape activities and services provided by the Foundation.
We envision a center of operations that will serve as a focal point for programs, services, activities, and social connection in the community.
The mission of Crookston Youth Foundation is to engage all sectors of the Crookston area in encouraging youth to thrive socially and economically and fulfill their potential as contributing members of the community.
